Jay is a graduate of the Fitness and Health Promotions Program at Humber College and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a Certified Level 1 Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition. He is passionate about helping athletes prepare for the physical demands of the game of basketball.
Coach Jay has been in the sports performance field for fifteen years, ten of which at the university/college level (Humber College, McMaster University, Seneca College and St.Lawrence College). He has also served as a member of Canada Basketball’s Junior (U18/19) or Cadet (U16/17) Men’s National Team’s strength & conditioning staff from 2014-2019 as well as spending three years with Canada Basketball’s Junior Academy (Gr. 7/8) Program.
In addition to working with teams and athletes locally. He is also currently serving as a Strength and Conditioning Consultant with the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers Men’s Basketball Team.
