Meet Our Registered Dietitian
Leila Hammond, MHSc, RD, is a registered dietitian with a passion for helping athletes optimise their nutrition for peak performance. With an extensive research background in nutrition in adolescence, protein and carbohydrate metabolism, and experience working with varsity athletes, Leila is highly knowledgeable in the field of sports nutrition. She holds a masters in nutrition communications from Toronto Metropolitan University and an undergraduate degree in nutrition and food from Toronto Metropolitan University. Leila is also the founder of Avenir Nutrition, a nutrition consulting practice that provides evidence-based nutrition services to athletes of all levels. Her work with athletes spans across various disciplines, including varsity athletics, basketball, hockey and competitive martial artists. She is dedicated to supporting athletes in achieving their full potential through customised and evidence-backed nutrition strategies to help athletes meet their goals.
